Rocker G Livestock was started in 1970 by Bud and Katy Gibson with the goal of providing premier rodeo livestock in the State of Hawaii.  Now 51 years later, beyond anything we could have imagined, our bulls are bucking in PRCA and PBR events and the stars of Dita Holifield’s All American Rodeo.  The bulls are direct results of a breeding program that went back to our own home bred genetics starting with our bull Rocky, crossing onto the genetics purchased in 1975 from Mr. Bob Barnsby which go back to the great bull Oscar.
Town and Country Stables in Waimanalo, started in 1964, is the headquarters of Rocker G Livestock.  Town and Country is also a horse training and boarding stable specializing in reined cow horse with rich bloodlines going back to Doc Bar.  The horses are trained by Bud Gibson in the old Spanish style of the snaffle bit, hackamore and finally the bridle.  Horses that have gone through the training program have done everything from playing polo, picking up bucking horses, Western Pleasure, team roping, English events and reined cow horse.

There’s an incredible need for a mainland-style rodeo in the state of Hawaii, since Habilitat discontinued producing the event. For most of the 90’s and 2000’s hardcore fans, local families, and the military enjoyed watching the over 100 head of cattle and the top local cowboys competing in the heart-pounding extreme sports of Barrel Racing, Ranch Bronc Riding, Double Mugging, Team Roping, Keiki Barrel Racing, Wahine Steer Undecorating, Cowboy Poker and of course…Bull Riding!

Now in it’s 3rd year, producer  Dita Holifield, The Queen of Country Music in Hawaii, has stepped up to the plate again alongside Bud and Katy Gibson owner’s of New Town and Country Stables in Waimanalo, to bring back in style the state’s largest and most exciting Rodeo!

On June 23rd, 24th and 25th families will enjoy a Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Food Vendors, Craft Fair, Mechanical Bull Riding, Truck and car displays from Cutter Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram and live country music!

Up for grabs…..the coveted belt buckle and $10,000 in hard cold cash

Last year’s attendance exceeded 11,000 fans!
